Yeah, right

The NY Times is reporting that the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security will investigate how no-bid contracts were awarded to politically connected companies. Amid criticism and complaints, we get the typical response of empty promises. They can look, but they won't find. And even if they find, we will never hear about it!
But for sport, here's the story

This, naturally, makes Bunnatine Greenhouse's demotion even more tragic.

I just wish it were surprising, you know? Watching BushCo meet my exceeding low expectations time and time again is becoming cliche.

Yes- its like a daily "spot the bullshit" contest...but no prizes though for any of us, CB. So we ought to develop some resignation.
"Groundhog Day"- the vile sequel, in which the whole country wakes up every morning, reads about the newest death count in Iraq, scans through some scandal and Hollywood break-up news, flips through a paper full of explosions and global briefs (yawn!!!!) but settles down to read the entire article about the new diet that lets you eat carbs again..rejoice! A lifestyle we can live with! ... and after fantasizing about their sedentary asses becoming suddenly like Abercrombie models, they all hop in the car to grab a McDonald's croissanwich....head to work to stand and talk about "Six Feet Under" and text message "CU L8-er" to their extramarital partners. Am I cranky today???

If you are cranky, I'll have to try and irritate you more often. I'm particularly fond of LilySnark. :)
